Overview:
A Kampfgruppe from Panzergrenadier-Division “Grossdeutschland” took part in Operation NATZMER on 15 August to blunt a Soviet attack across the Vorskla River. As the day progressed, many of the unit’s Tiger tanks, in action for the first time, began to fall by the wayside, though as often from mechanical issues as from combat loss. After struggling through the two villages and then pausing briefly to replenish ammunition, the remnants of the kampfgruppe reached Belsk late in the day and went into action right away.Attacker: German (Aufklarungs-Abteilung, Kampfgruppe Natzmer, Panzer-Regiment "Grossdeutschland")
