Overview:

By noon the first day, the German 20th Motorized Infantry Division was surging across the so-called “Polish Corridor” from the west towards the vital crossroads at Chojnice. Along the Chojnice-Naklo rail line, the German vanguard had been fought to a standstill by recently mobilized Polish reservists. But Polish casualties were mounting and ammunition was low. The Germans were so close that attempts to break off the action and withdraw failed. The Polish Uhlan Regiments, perhaps the finest cavalry in the world, was ordered to extricate their comrades. . .
Attacker: German (Vanguard of Infanterie Regiment 76 (mot))
Defender: Polish (13th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division / 18th Uhlan Regiment, Pomorska Cavalry Brigade)

2025-01-02(A) Neil Andrews vs Rhys Powell German winA Different approach was taken this time by me on the swing around.
Having seen Rhys's approach I decided to change things up and do a Amoeba approach in where I hopped that Rhys would not expect. Along the Open Ground board edge.

As sorta required the Poles setup spread out top to bottom, but with an emphasis on the top. If I had to guess, Rhys would have thought I'd use that way to go. In the end I went the complete other. Relying on the fact that if I kept the Poles at arms reach, their massed FP would be at long range or even better out of range

And it worked like a treat. I mashed my way through the front line, and I scooped up PoWs when I could. This turned out to be vital and they just add up to a significant bunch of VP and take units out of play at the same time.
My ACs roared down the road. They did not stop, or if they did it was to Stop-Shoot-Start and move. Rhys to a bunch of shots at them, but could not stop em. I did the worst damage to my own armour by malfing 2x MA and 1x CMG before it was over. (Repaired the CMG - woohoo)
It all finished with a Panzer overrunning a Cav squad in the woods road exit area and a lot of German infantry running by, with smoke from the AC's and Panzers for cover
Great game by Rhys
2024-12-03(A) John Garlic vs Ed Barnes German win
2024-11-23(A) Dave B vs John Haughey Polish win
2024-02-21(D) Neil Andrews vs Rhys Powell Polish winFirst play through with me taking the Polish.
The Polish are compelled to spread the Conscripts out along the front to try and cover all the likely routes. Which I did, But I concentrated a little more in the Centre so that If I needed to I could go either way.

In the end Rhys took a spread out approach trying to divide and conquer. He just wasnt strong enough in any area to break through. The Armour came on and he used it like a fire brigade rushing from place to place. Meanwhile the Polish Cavalry with the 9-2 setup in the centre. His job was to keep the troops rallied, and shoot when and if the opportunity presented.
The plan went well, and in the end held the Germans up sufficiently that they just could not get the exit VP
2022-01-22(A) Tripp Killin vs Phil Watkins Polish winI attacked cautiously as the Germans and tried to cut rout paths to take prisoners. I was shooting for the ">20CVP than the Polish" option. That all worked well, but the Polish cavalry had dismounted and begun counterattacking by the time my tanks came on.

A bunch of tense CCs towards the end of the game where Poles were attacking German units that were guarding prisoners. So, big CVP swings towards the end, and I missed victory by a few.
