Overview:
The Italian 131st "Centauro" Armoured Division, along with 51st "Siena" Division, spearheaded an advance across the border to capture the Greek city of Ioannina. Initially the Centauro Division, equipped with small L3/35 tankettes, dominated the battlefield wherever its tanks could be brought to bear in the hilly terrain. However fuel shortages from supply lines stretched thin forced them to rely heavily on the infantrymen of the Siena Division to secure their gains. As a result the drive to Ioannina was halted just beyond the Kalamas River by the Greek 8th Infantry Division.Attacker: Italian (131st Divisione Corazzata "Centauro")
